All of our clinical services are grounded in evidence-based practices and proven interventions informed by the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)
i. Data Collection and Analysis
At FYSS, our Registered Behaviour Analysts (RBAs) design practical and accessible data collection systems that capture essential information to guide clinical decisions. These tools track key behaviour metrics such as frequency, duration, and intensity, enabling timely evaluation and adjustments to support strategies as needed. Our RBAs continuously monitor this data to assess the effectiveness of interventions and ensure all decisions are evidence-based and responsive to each individual’s progress.
ii. Assessments
FYSS conducts Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA) led by Registered Behaviour Analysts, supported by Supervised Behaviour Technicians. This process includes reviewing background information, observing behaviours, and using assessment tools to identify the function of challenging behaviours. While we do not provide diagnoses, our focus is on understanding each individual’s functional abilities to create effective, personalized intervention plans.
iii. Development of Behaviour Support Plans
At FYSS, our Registered Behaviour Analysts create individualized Behaviour Support Plans based on each person’s strengths and needs. These plans include proactive and responsive strategies, evidence-based teaching methods, and behaviour management techniques—all aligned with best practices and regulatory standards to ensure safe, person-centered support.
iv. Mediator Training
At FYSS, we prioritize training for caregivers and support staff to ensure consistent application of ABA strategies across all environments. Through Behaviour Skills Training, we equip families and staff with the tools they need to effectively support individuals. Supervised Behaviour Technicians provide hands-on coaching and monitor implementation to maintain treatment fidelity and make ongoing adjustments as needed.
v. Progress & Planning Discussions
FYSS Behaviour Analysts and Technicians regularly meet with families and stakeholders to review progress, discuss concerns, and plan future goals. We ensure families stay involved and have accessible support throughout their loved one’s care.
